Scout Night On The Town

January 25-26 2002

Well, up until Friday night I was under the impression that SNOTT stood for Scouts Night On The Town. However, now I understand what it really means:

"Scouts Nailing On The Throttle"!

Friday Jan. 25, Troop 57 had its annual all nighter beginning with three (count em, three) glorious hours out at Malibu Speed Zone where we conducted research into the realms of linear and lateral acceleration as induced by chemical conversion of aromatic hydrocarbons. Our "Research" included determining who had the Lowest E.T. in the Dragsters (way to go Ben), who had the best Reaction Time in the Dragsters (nice job Tim), as well as who had the quickest laps on the Grand Prix, Slick Tracks and the Go Karts !!!

We had three hours worth of all the fuel we could burn, plus hot pizza, lemonade, and mini-golf to boot. Considering the venue and its theme, one could say that SNOTT was definitely running! As they say, "a good time was had by all", --- and that was just the beginning. Next we saw a late movie, "Snow Dogs", and spent the rest of the night engaged in basketball, Ultimate, Pool, "Air" Hockey, snacking, and various other worthwhile endeavors at a local gym. Early Saturday morning the sharks knawed through a pile of doughnuts, cleaned up the gym, and it was time to go home for a little shut-eye.

All in all it was a great success, one of the best SNOTT's ever. A very well deserved "Thank You" is due to Mr. Serman, who planned and organized the whole night. Mr. Serman, ..... ya' done good!!!
