Pioneering Campout 2003

March 7-9, 2003

Troop57 traveled to the private property of a friend of 57 in Pittsburg, Texas for our annual Pioneering campout.

Or, as it has been affectionately named by our boys;

the "Medieval Weapons Of Mass Destruction" campout

In order to hone their lashing skills each group is issued pine and cedar poles, elastic tubing, and as much rope as they need to construct catapaults using only their lashing skills and wits.


Each team builds a catapault and then competes for distance using water balloon ammunition.
