New Scout & Parent Orientation Campout

June 1-2 2002

We travelled to Camp James Ray on beautiful Lake Texoma for a special campout for our newest Scouts. This is the campout where we introduce new Scouts and their parents to camping the 57 way. We taught them how to prepare for our monthly camping trips, what gear to bring (and not to bring), how to plan a menu, how to set up a camp site, how to cook, how to clean up, and other basic skills needed whenever they're in the field with 57.
