Canoeing Down the Brazos River

Troop 57 takes a a trip down the Brazos River! This summer the Troop decided to do something that would keep us cool during those "dog days" of summer. Canoeing !!! We arrived Friday night at the park, set up our tents & settled in for a good nights sleep. The next morning right after breakfast we packed our gear & our lunches, met the canoe rental company at the foot of the dam, then launched our canoes for a day long trip down the Brazos river. We spent the whole day on the water, stopping for lunch along the way. At the end of the run we pulled in at the canoe rental dock, hauled our canoes out of the water, then rode back to camp for dinner & some well deserved rest. Sunday morning we had a rousing camp breakfast, struck camp, packed up the trailer & then headed back home.
